T-6Gs going to Portugal

de Benno Goethals (31/07/2023 22:51:38)

Bonjour,

In the early sixties a number of French T-6Gs were
transferred to Portugal. The first lot, 46 aircraft, to
become 1670 to 1715. In 1962 there was a second lot of
another 10 aircraft, to become 1716 to 1725.

Was wondering if details of the transfer dates exist and if
their is a ty-up between French and Portuguese serials. Why
the latter question? I do have some discrepancies.

c/n 182-035, 51-14348(FAF) reported to have become
1717(PAF). However I do also have c/n 182-037, 51-14350(FAF)
to have become 1717(PAF)

c/n 182-182, 51-14495(FAF) reported to have become
1713(PAF). I do also have 1724.

c/n 182-682, 51-14995(FAF) reported to have become
1724(PAF). 51-14995 is reported having crashed during French
service. Was it repaired and later transferred to Portugal?

c/n 182-743, 51-15056(FAF) reported to have become
1684(PAF). I do also have 1695(PAF), and later FA-743 in
Congo.

c/n 197-5, 52-8201(FAF) reported to have become 1695(PAF). I
do also have 1684(PAF)

All help very much appreciated.

Cordialement,

Benno, Pays-Bas
